ADSL TO REPRESENT IRELAND IN MALTA 2012-01-30 21:02:00

The ADSL Under-14 Development Academy has been invited to represent Ireland at a prestigious international tournament to take place on the Mediterranean island of Malta this Easter.
Twenty-four players from the ADSL's Under-14 Academy will spend seven days in Malta over the Easter holiday and will compete in an eight team tournament with sides from Malta, England and Italy including Italian giants, Napoli.
This trip should be a fantastic opportunity and experience for these young players and will be perfect preparation for the flagship Irish schoolboy football tournament, the Kennedy Cup to take place in June. The final ADSL Kennedy Cup squad will be selected from the travelling party to Malta.
The invitation to Malta and to represent Ireland is a great honour for the League and is a reflection of the growing stature of the League and the very good work being done in the ADSL's seven age group Development Academies. The ADSL was very happy to accept the invitation after consultation with the player's parents. This is a fantastic opportunity for these young players to continue their football education and development while also experiencing foreign travel and different cultures.
The fortunate ADSL players are all looking forward to the event and they and the ADSL are proud to fly the Athlone and Ireland flags in Malta at Easter.
